Sunday Guided Walks

The Friends of the Landlocked Forest are sponsoring a series of walks for 2010, to encourage the people of Burlington to enjoy this beautiful, natural resource that our Town owns. We will lead a guided walk on the first Sunday of each month for the rest of the year.

Our first walk will be a walk on Sunday, March 7th. Meet in the parking lot behind Burlington Town Hall at 11 am. Or join us at 11:15 at the parking lot on Turning Mill Road, Lexington, under the power lines. We will explore part of the 250 acre forest, enjoying the trees, stone walls, streams, and possibly animal tracks. If there is snow, you can bring snowshoes, but they are optional.

If you want to plan ahead, the next few walks will be on these Sundays:
April 11th (not the first Sunday, because of Easter)
May 2nd
June 6th.
We will be planning some special topical walks – for example, for birders or for history buffs, If you have a special area of interest and can help us, please contact us at landlockedforest@aol.com

We hope to see you on Sunday, March 7th at 11 am, behind Burlington Town Hall.
